Welcome to 1G! I am Miss Craig, the 1G class teacher, and I work alongside our teaching assistants,  Mrs Harding and Mrs Myatt. The wider Year 1 team is Miss Griggs and Mrs Deaville in 1Y.

General information

P.E Days

Our PE days are Tuesday (with Miss Craig) and Friday (with Mr Meakin). Please ensure children bring their P.E kits with all items labelled. They will then take them home at the beginning of the half term holiday to be washed before bringing them back after the holiday. Thank you!

Uniform

Please ensure that children have each piece of their uniform (and P.E kit) clearly labelled to avoid losing them. 

Water

Where possible, please send your child in with a water bottle, even a plastic one. We have a limited number of cups in the classroom and to avoid them sharing and to keep them healthy, we advise they have a personal bottle. 

Lunches

All KS1 children are entitled to free school meals. The hot dinner changes daily (see the Sutherland Sentinel for the weekly menu) with jacket potatoes and sandwiches/ wraps/ rolls with a range of fillings available every day. Children are also welcome to bring a home packed lunch. 

Points and Golden Activities 

Every day, children can earn points (ranging from 5-8 )by following the golden rules, completing golden homework and reading at home. These points are saved until the last day of term when they are used to participate in golden activities. .
