📚 Welcome to Story Club 📚
Story Club takes place every Monday 3.15-4.15pm. We start each session by reading our chosen story for that week. This is then followed by an activity based around the story. Each child makes something to take home and then we all work together to make a large piece of artwork for our window display!
🌞 Summer Term 2018 🌞
We are looking forward to reading lots more fantastic stories this term! We have started the term by reading one of our favourite stories- ‘Shark in the Park’. We then had lots of fun making our own mini peg sharks!
We are looking forward to reading some of the childrens favourite stories and of course ticking off more books from the 100 Stoke Reads!
Stoke Reads 100 📚
Stoke Speaks Out ran a survey in March 2016 to find the top Stoke-on-Trent 100 fiction books that all children should read before leaving primary school. We are going to see how many of these stories we can read during our Story Club sessions!
Here is a full list of the Top 100 Reads:
Let us know how many stories from the Top 100 you have read! 😀
🐣 Spring Term 2018 🐣
The Spring Term was filled with lots of fantastic stories!
The children particularly enjoyed ‘The Animal Boogie’, where we made jungle masks and sang along to the story!
‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ was another popular story, with the children enjoying making their own Golden tickets, and of course some yummy chocolate treats!
It was lovely to see how the story ‘Guess how much I love you’ inspired the childrens conversations abouttheir own families and why they love them.
Please look through our photographs to see to see all of the fun we have each Monday!
If your child has a favourite story that you think would be great for Story Club, please let us know! 😊
