Welcome to Foundation Stage 1 2020!
We have all settled into our new class extremely well and are really enjoying all the activities in our classroom.
Thank you for your continued support during our induction period. As the children become more confident coming into school please encourage them to come in independently, saying goodbye at the classroom door, we therefore kindly ask that pushchairs are not brought into the cloak room to ensure the children can walk in safely.
Starting from next week we will be sending home a discussion book for the children to share with you, to help them to develop their reading skills. They will also choose a library book for you to read with them. Please write in their reading record book when they share their discussion book with you as the children will earn a Golden Stamp when they have shared their book three times with an adult at home.
Each day they will have the opportunity to earn two Golden Stamps at school when they follow the golden rules. We will be sending home golden homework home every Thursday, these are activities that you can complete with your child at home, and stamps will be rewarded for the effort your child has made. At the end of each half term they can use these golden stamps to choose a golden activity. The golden stamps that are not used each term will be saved for the end of year golden activities; these activities require a higher number of stamps and include visiting the Monkey Forest and making pizzas at Frankie and Bennies.
Parents who are entitled for the additional 15 hours funding must renew their application every three months to ensure the funding continues. If you do not update your details, the school will not receive the funding that your child is entitled to. Once you have updated your details you need to inform the school of your DERN or demonstrate that you have gone through the process and are not entitled. https://childcare-support.tax.service.gov.uk
