Welcome to Year 2! 

Important: This term PE days are Tuesdays and Thursdays. 

Welcome to Autumn Term 2 in Year 2! 

We are class 2SH and our teachers are Mrs Hancock, Mrs Macdonald and Miss Greer. The children have settled into Year 2 beautifully and are enjoying exploring our curriculum. 

There are so many extremely exciting activities going on this term so please keep a close eye on the Sutherland Sentinel for weekly updates!  

Below is some key information regarding our learning in Year 2:

• PE days are Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please make sure that you bring your PE kit and earrings are removed on these days. 
• Golden Homework will be given out at the beginning of each term and is due in every 2 weeks. We will also upload a copy on the website. 
• Children will be given a login for Times Table Rockstars and we are focusing on our 2, 5 and 10 times table. 
• Please read a little each night. 
• Spellings will be given out every Thursday and are tested on the following Thursday. You can see this week's spellings on the classroom door. 

Our learning this term:

• Topic: Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole
• Science: Plants/Growing Up
