Welcome to 1MG! 

Welcome to 1MG! We are over the moon to have you here! I am Miss Griggs, the 1MG class teacher, and I work alongside our teaching assistant, the lovely Miss Greer. The wider Year 1 team is the wonderful Mrs Loader and Mrs Mack. We hope you enjoy your time in Year 1 and please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions or worries!

The pupils are already using the vocabulary and we are seeing a fabulous difference to the general atmosphere at school!

General Information

P.E Days

Our P.E day is Thursday. Your child should come to school wearing their P.E on this day. If your child wears earrings, please ensure they are removed on PE days or they will not be able to participate in PE. Thank you!

Uniform

Please ensure that children have each piece of their uniform (and P.E kit) clearly labelled to avoid losing them. 

Water

Where possible, please send your child in with a water bottle, even a plastic one. We have a limited number of cups in the classroom and to avoid them sharing and to keep them healthy, we advise they have a personal bottle. As per school policy, please ensure that you send your child in with water only.

Lunches

All KS1 children are entitled to free school meals. The hot dinner changes daily with sandwiches with a range of fillings available every day. Children are also welcome to bring a home packed lunch. Children are free to change from school meals and sandwiches whenever they wish. Please ensure you order your child's lunch on SchoolMoney before school.
