Welcome to Year 2!  

Important: This term PE days are Mondays and Tuesdays. 

Welcome to Spring Term 2 in Year 2! 

We are class 2SL and our teachers are Mrs Loader, Mrs Macdonald and Miss Greer. We cannot believe we are already half way through the academic year!

We have so many exciting activities planned for this term, including our trip to Ford Green Hall and our visit from the fire service. Please keep a close eye on the Sutherland Sentinel for weekly updates!  

Below is some key information regarding our learning in Year 2:

• PE days are Monday and Tuesday. Please make sure that your child has their PE kit and earrings removed on these days. 
• Year 2 Flipped Learning Homework Tasks were given out at the end of the last academic term and you will find a copy below.  
• The children have a login for Times Table Rockstars in the back of their reading diaries and we are asking the children to log in each week with a focus on their 2, 5 and 10 times table. The children will earn coins each time they play to spend in the TTRS shop to customise their rockstar avatar!
• Please read three times per week with your child. We are also very excited this term to introduce our new Year 2 Reading Buddies, Noah and Douglas. The children will take it in turns to bring their reading buddy home to share a story with. They are very excited!
