Topic
In the Summer 2 term, our Geography topic is "What season would Little Red Riding Hood like to explore?"
Through the familiar story of Little Red Riding Hood, the children will learn about the four seasons and how the weather, plants, animals, and landscapes change throughout the year.
We will compare the features of spring, summer, autumn, and winter and explore how different seasons affect the woodland environment.
The children will develop their geographical skills by observing seasonal changes, discussing weather patterns, and using simple vocabulary to describe the world around them.
By the end of the topic, they will be able to explain which season they think Little Red Riding Hood would enjoy exploring and give reasons for their choice.
